Purchasing Power is taking money from my check for an item I never recieved. In April 2013, I ordered a flatscreen TV from Purchasing Power.

The cost was 118.33 per month. After a couple of months of taking money from my paycheck and not recieving a TV, I contacted Purchasing Power. They informed me that the purchasing period had ended. They also informed me that the withdrawls should stop and I would be refunded the monies paid.

Well, after several months of medical issues, this got put on the back burner. In January 2014, I was doing taxes and going over online pacheck reciepts. They were still taking $118.33 out of my check every month. I contacted them via email.

I like to have a way the interactions recorded. Email makes it easy. They basically responded that a refund was on its way in 7-10 days. Well 3 weeks later I get a check for about $350.

Soon after recieving that check, I had undergone brain surgery for excess fluid. Anyway, some trauma was done to the balance center and they failed to resolve the fluid issue. I went back in March 2014. I have been spending the following months learning to walk again.

So, this issue got put on the back burner AGAIN!! I recently got the balance issue resolved and returned to work. After checking my online paystubs for the months I was out, I noticed Purchasing Power was still taking $118.33 out of my checks. REALLY?!?

Is this company run by a ripoff artist or do they not bother keeping up on their records. I checked my accout with them and it has a $0 balance. Where is that money going?? In someones' pocket??

Well, it certainly isn't going in mine. Looks like I'm going to have to cancel my union deductions just to stop this. i've pretty much given up on getting that money back!! This place is a rip off.

I was never informed of a purchasing period when I sent in an order. That's a mistake in their part for taking the order. Then they should have never taking money from my check in the first place. They definitly should have stopped withdrawls and refunded after I told them of not recieving my TV.

Then they should have checked their records to see how much has been withdrawn from my paycheck on their system. Either they are really disorganized or they are intentionally ripping people off. And hoping no one calls them on it. My advice is stay away!!!

Go to Rent A Center, they got me a TV the day I walked in the store and they even worked with me last month when I was short. So far they've stolen $2011.62 from my checks, which is more than the TV costed to begin with.

Last year I ordered a flatscreen tv from Purchasing power. Well, after a couple months of taking money out of my check; they inform me that I didn't place the order within the option period. OK, whatever. Then, they kept taaking money out of my check. I contacted them and they sent me a refund check for the 3 months taken out... Great. But, every month they still take money out of my check.

my online account shows nothing. I've been battling to try and stop this and get a full refund. I might have to drop my union just to stop the withdrawls from my check.

Well, earlier this year I had surgery and was unable to walk for several months. I was in rehab for six months. Between my vacation, medical leave and donated leave I was able to make it through most of those months paid.

But, after that whole medical ordeal, I got online to look at my check and leave balance. Purchasing Power is still taking money out!!! This is a headache and a half.

Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Monetary Loss: $1700.

Location: Norman, Oklahoma

You can stop the allotments to them from your payroll processing department. You set up a financial allotment in the first place to allow them access to these funds. Contact your HR dept and ask them how to stop an allotment

if you don't cancel your allotment, the money over paid gets bounced back to the US Treasury. You have to contact them to get it refunded.

I experienced similar fraudulent billings...This company really needs to be audited by the consumer trade commission, which I most certainly intend to file a valid complaint.

You have to cancel your allotment!
